 Programme 2012 Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7.00 for 7.30 p.m. at the Parish Rooms.

Subscriptions:  £10 a year, payable in January. 

Visitors are asked to contribute £2.00.

24th May:  Steve Membury: Cambria Farm excavations (Prehistoric & Roman)


28th June:  David Ricketts: History of Chard Museum with the stories of John Stringfellow and James Gillingham

 July 14th:  Somerton Past exhibition 

July 26th:  Martin Horler: The Role of the Royal Mail Guard


August:             no meeting


27th September:  to be announced, probably a Social Evening with historical contributions by Members

 25th October: Simon Buckell:  Aspects of the Great War, 1914-1919. 

November 22:   John Smith: Somerton in AD 42.


6th December:  Christmas event.
